From Sheila Tolmie of McLaughlin & Harvey –
We would like to make you aware of and seek feedback from those who live or have premises within 200m of the location where work is being undertaken for the Stonehaven Flood Protection Scheme (SFPS).
Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 and the halt in works and respective loss in construction activity/progress, we are proposing fortnightly Sunday working. This would enable the project to progress during the summer months whilst providing the community a full weekend off twice a month from construction activity.
As you know the scheme is designed to protect homes and businesses which have previously been badly affected by flooding events around the River Carron and to provide a standard of protection well above the current Association of British Insurers requirements, reducing flood risk to 372 residential properties.
We would be grateful if you could complete the attached reply slip to us by Friday 28th August 2020 in our suggestion box located at Salmon Lane. Alternatively, you can send your response by text to 07867193124 or email Stonehaven.firstname.lastname@example.org
Type of works on Sunday: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Masonry work, general groundworks, setting up shutters for concrete pours.
The following works will be prohibited during the Sunday extended hours:
- All Piling Works (Permanent works and temporary works)
- Rock breakers – All sizes
We thank you for your continued cooperation and support during the construction works for the benefit of the Stonehaven Community.
General project information and updates can be found via the project website: https://www.aberdeenshire.gov.uk/environment/flooding/stonehaven-fps/
