From Sheila Tolmie, McLaughlin & Harvey –
FOLLOWING the recent works to take delivery and install the new culverts on the Glaslaw Burn, I can confirm that the road will reopen from 7 p.m. this evening.
Whilst work will continue to complete this important part of the flood protection scheme, access to Woodview Court will remain via the Invercarron Resource Centre for a further estimated two weeks. Further updates will be provided as works progress.
We would like to thank Langstane Housing, the Invercarron Resource Centre and those residents at Carron Gardens flats for assisting with temporary parking for those affected by the road closure. In addition, Atholls for agreeing on the temporary use of the land whilst the crane was in situ. All of this has been vital and very much appreciated during the installation of the culverts.
In addition a reminder that tomorrow, Saturday, 8th August is a working today and construction work will finish at 5 p.m.
The Project Team thank you for the continued cooperation and understanding during this important phase of the scheme.
