From this week’s KDP bulletin –

COULD you or your organisation help set up a Community Café at Edenholme Care Home?

The main aim of the café is to combat loneliness and social isolation and the impact these can have on a person’s physical and mental wellbeing.

By encouraging people to chat over cups of tea and slices of cake, and get involved in activities and entertainment, it is hoped it will help ward off social isolation and provide some social interaction, which helps to keep a person’s brain active.

The café will be open to residents and non-residents.

You are invited to attend a planning meeting at Edenholme Care Home (Rendevous lounge) on Thursday 28th November at 2pm to discuss reinstating this project, suitable days/times and how you or your organisation can support it.

Please contact Amy, community health improvement officer, if you would like to attend, or if you have any questions amy.cameron5@nhs.net
