STONEHAVEN and District Community Council, SDCC, meet tomorrow for what may be the last time before an election is declared.
The Tuesday meeting is at the Invercarron Resource Centre at 7pm, with forthcoming community council election/nomination arrangements being one of the items on the agenda.
An election will be held if the number of nominations submitted exceeds the maximum number of members permitted for SDCC – 20 members.
So for anyone who has never attended a meeting and who has any interest in the work of community councils, this would be a good opportunity to see SDCC in action.
As statutary consultees in planning matters, SDCC will discuss any current planning application of note. And, if possible, a member of Police Scotland will attend to make a report and give an opportunity for any questions or concerns to be raised.
John Emslie of the Citizens Advice Bureau will make a presentation on their work.
And two separate mental health care consultations are on the agenda. SDCC recently hosted an online survey to inform their participation in one of these consultations.
All SDCC meetings are open to the public, who are given an opportunity to raise matters not on the agenda.
